How to price an extra revision round without an open-ended promise
Use a defined feedback batch, a checked effort estimate and Clearcut’s free revision template to quote another round of changes.

An extra revision round should be a bounded batch of work, not a promise to keep editing until every stakeholder is satisfied. The most useful quote states what is being revised, whose feedback is included, and what happens if the direction changes again.
Check whether the request is actually extra
Review the accepted proposal and the versions already delivered. Correcting work that does not meet the agreed requirement may be different from a new preference or a new stakeholder’s direction. Resolve that distinction before putting a price on the request.
List the requested changes in concrete terms. “Refine the homepage” is difficult to estimate. “Replace the approved hero image, edit two headings and revise the testimonial layout” is easier to discuss and verify.
- Original revision allowance
- Rounds already completed
- Specific changes in this batch
Ask for one consolidated feedback set
Name one person to collect and resolve client comments. Set a feedback cutoff so the estimate is based on a known list. If unresolved comments contradict each other, ask the client to choose a direction before production begins.
For a worked illustration, allow three hours for the edits, one for responsive review and one for coordination. Enter those five extra hours into the scope calculator with your original project assumptions. Change the number when the work requires a different level of effort.
- One feedback owner
- One identifiable version
- One complete list to estimate
Write the boundary in the quote
Open Clearcut’s Another revision round template. State the batch, fee, timing and whether another review pass is included. A useful sentence is: “This quote covers the changes listed in the feedback document dated [date]; new direction or additional items will be reviewed separately.”
Replace placeholders and check the wording with the actual project agreement. Download the draft, review it and ask for a decision. The free tool helps organize the quote; the client’s acceptance and your delivery process still need to happen.

- Number of review passes included
